Lina Scacco is the Assistant Vice President of Corporate Outreach and Development at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation located in New Hyde Park, NY. Lina is responsible for the overall marketing and communications for the organization.   Lina is focused on being a resource to the community and is the liaison for the Parker Organization in articulating the scope of services that Parker offers.  

Lina Scacco is responsible and supervises the following community based programs and services:  Parker Certified Home Health Agency, Comprehensive Community Hospice at Parker Jewish Institute, and Parker on Madison – Social Adult Day Program for the Frail Elderly. 

 Lina also collaborates inside and outside the Parker Jewish Institute Health Care Network to create health care programs and services that will respond to the ever changing health care needs of the community.   Lina devotes time volunteering in the community for a number of organizations and causes and in particular is passionate about senior care and educating adult children who care for older adults on options available to them in the community, especially living options ie: Independent, Assisted and Long Term Living Communities  - to help make them aware of programs that will enhance and enrich the quality of life for their aging loved one and make the process of caring for that loved one less overwhelming.

 Maureen Schneider has been a Registered Nurse for 48 years. After 21 years with Long Island Jewish Medical Center she crossed the street and began working at Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She began as a staff nurse in our Diagnostic and Treatment Center, became the Manager of that area and then became the Director of the Adult Day Health Care Program in 2000.

As the Director of the Medical Model Adult Day Health Care Program, she is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality registrant care through effective management of services in the Program. Maureen acts as a consultant, resource person, teacher and active participant in the overall care of the registrants. Maureen is a member of the Medical Records Team, the Environment of Care Team and she serves as the Coordinator of the Ambulatory Quality Assurance Team.

Maureen is part of the Adult Day Health Care Group, Region 8 (Nassau and Suffolk) serving as Secretary- preparing the monthly agenda and the minutes. Maureen is active in the Adult Day Health Care Council, (ADHCC) which is an affiliate of Leading Age, New York (formerly NYAHSA). She has served on the Future of Adult Day Health Care Task Force, the Marketing Task Force, the Managed Care Positioning Group and has become a member of the Board of Trustees of the Council representing Region 8 for five years.

In 2016, Maureen was asked to become the Director of Corporate Admissions for Parker Jewish Institute. In this role she is reaching out to hospitals in our catchment area to introduce herself and the programs that Parker offers- sub-acute/post- acute care, short term rehabilitation, nursing home, social model daycare, community/inpatient hospice, a certified home health care agency, a managed long term care plan, medical transportation and an onsite dialysis center.

In her various roles she has given lectures in the local libraries, NORCS, senior centers and health fairs. Her topics range from, How to Communicate with your Physician Effectively, Mood Disorders, How to Improve your Sleep, Depression, and Coping with Stress.
